5/12/08
- Bear sighting:
Dave Juth saw a bear walking up the
driveway in the morning. The bear then walked
on top of the retaining wall, around the front
porch, then to the front door. Dave and the
bear were nose to nose, six inches apart with
just the glass of the sidelight in between
them in the "Juth Bear 3" photo. (See photos

6/13/08 - Bear sighting: Kyle
and Bunny watched a bear on their deck for
about 1/2 an hour in the morning. It was just
outside their sliding doors eating from a bird
feeder, while sitting in the bird bath. (See
photos below... Goad Bear 1, 2, 3, 4)
7/10/08
- Snake sighting: Pictures
of Regan with a couple of snakes found around
the house recently. Snakes were
released after the photos to go on about their
business. The colorful snake is a milk snake
and the other is a young black rat snake. (See
