Recreation Area

The CNPOA recreation area is an open field located at what is known as “The Point” on the banks of the Shenandoah River. The recreation area has a boat launch, picnic tables, fire rings, and a grassy knoll.

Recreation Area Rules

Use of the recreation area is limited to authorized property owners, residents, and their guests. Guests must be accompanied by the property owner/resident. Property owners/residents are responsible to inform their guests of the rules for the recreation area.

An official parking permit must be displayed in all vehicles parked at the recreation area. If you do not have enough permits for a special event, please request a temporary parking permit from the gate and security coordinator.

In order to avoid scheduling conflicts, you must receive approval for camping or special events held at the recreation area, including, but not limited to, holidays, birthdays, graduations, weddings, receptions, meetings, and scouting. Please contact the president or the gate and security coordinator to schedule your event. Your event will be posted on the CNPOA calendar (login required).

The CNPOA also requests that you obtain a temporary gate entry code for special events held at the recreation area, or at your property, which would include attendance of people outside of your immediate family or trusted relatives/friends. This temporary code will be activated only during the days and hours which you specify.

Please see the PDF  Rules for Common Areas for more details.
